Charles A. Bolliger, 92, of Middlebury
MIDDLEBURY — Charles A, Bolliger, 92, died at Porter Nursing and Rehabilitation in Middlebury, Vt. He was born March 29, 1934, in Passaic, N.J., to Adolph and Maryalice (Temple) Bolliger. He grew up in Totowa, N.J., and attended schools in Little Falls, N.J. He attended Patterson College, in Wayne, N.J., where he received B.S. and M.S. degrees.
Charles was predeceased by his parents, Adolph and Maryalice Bolliger and his wife of 40 years, Joyce Heitman Geehan Bolliger.
Charles is survived by four stepchildren: Carol Krawczyk, Karen Krawczyk, Mark Geehan and William Geehan.
Charles was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Korean conflict.
He taught in schools in Patterson, Totowa and Hackettstown, N.J., and Shoreham and Bennington, Vt. He was the supervisor at the Bennington College Library, a lifetime member of the National Education Association, the American Camping Association, and the First Church of Christ in Boston, Mass., and a member of the Morning Sun Lodge No.5 F and AM in Bridport, Vt.
Per his wishes there will be no funeral. A graveside service will be held at a yet to be determined date at the Village Cemetery in Shoreham, Vt. Memorial contributions in his name can be made to Helen Porter Nursing and rehabilitation in Middlebury, Vt.◊
