MIDDLEBURY — As part of its United We Stand: Connecting Through Culture series, the Vermont Humanities Council will screen the film “Backlash: Misogyny in the Digital Age,” at the Marquis Theater, 65 Main St., on Tuesday, March 12. The film will begin at 6 p.m. with a community panel to follow discussing the themes presented in the screening.

The film tells the stories of four women leaders whose lives are overturned by cyberviolence. They share a common cause: refusing to be silenced.

This panel will be moderated by the State of Vermont’s Executive Director of Racial Equity, Xusana Davis, and features Chittenden County State’s Attorney Sarah George; Assistant Director of Education and Outreach for the National Center on Restorative Justice at Vermont Law School Alanna Ojibway; and Middlebury College Senior Malachi Raymond.
