Tribute planned for Revolutionary War casualty

MEMBERS OF THE Lord Family, area clergy, Vermont and New Hampshire Army National Guard and the Daughters of the American Revolution will converge on Cornwall’s South Cemetery on Wednesday, Oct. 4, to honor the Revolutionary War soldier Silas Stone. Stone’s remains are believed to lay in an unmarked grave near Saratoga, N.Y., but this memorial marker will symbolically reunite the soldier with his wife, Elizabeth, who’s been buried at South Cemetery since 1819.
