Mexican migrants share stories of their journey, life in Vt.
OVER FOUR DOZEN community members gathered in Vergennes Saturday to hear the stories of three migrant farmworkers who made the journey from Oaxaca, Mexico, to Vermont. The three men shared the challenges they faced in leaving their home country and the realities of living and working in Vermont.

For many of Addison County’s Latin American migrant farmworkers, the road to Vermont is a difficult one. The journey is expensive, dangerous and often means leaving behind your family and community without the guarantee that you will return.
