I am supporting Jess Venable-Novak and Ron Makleff for ACSD School Board. I encourage you to join me. At this challenging time for our schools and communities, we need new voices and creative thinkers to advocate for our students and make sure they all feel welcome in our schools. As Cornwall residents, we also need board members who understand the importance of schools to the identity of rural towns.

Jess and Ron are lifelong progressives with young children currently in or soon to attend ACSD schools. They support the inclusion of diverse reading materials in our schools, and will be fierce advocates for our district as we face economic and political challenges coming from Montpelier.

The current leadership is inadequate to face the current challenges confronting the Board. It might be the case that an overhaul of our district is either inevitable or necessary. If so, we will need thoughtful, fair and hard-working people to help see it through — not ideologues who only care about single issues.
