MUHS wrestlers win another tournament
TILTON, N.H. — The Middlebury Union High School wrestling team won its third tournament of the winter this past weekend, the Winnisquam (N.H.) Regional High School Winter Classic. The event drew two-dozen teams.
MUHS took first place with 238.5 points, and host Winnisquam took second with 183 points.
Winning their weight classes were Alex Sperry at 144 pounds, Avery Carl at 157, Tucker Wright at 175 and Kameron Raymond at 285.
Taking second were Miles Goetz at 106, Wyatt Kennett at 165, and Parker Carl 190.
Earning third-place finishes were Jason Sperry at 150 and Trevor Wright at 165; while Jordan Couture at 132 and Steven Lackard at 215 both finished fifth.
Also wrestling were Kegan Stone, who won three matches at 126; and Sawyer Malzac, at 144, went 1-2.
