Fall guide: Foliage chairlift rides at the Snowbowl
HANCOCK — An unusual way to see our annual foliage spectacular is coming to the Middlebury College Snowbowl.
Head up Route 125 to the Snowbowl on any of four days this fall when the ski area will be open early to give rides up the mountain.
Enjoy a leisurely lift ride to the top of Snowbowl on the new Sheehan Quad, where you’ll be treated to panoramic views of the magnificent fall foliage that Vermont is famous for. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast, a photographer or just looking for a peaceful escape, our lift rides provide an unforgettable experience.
The Fall Foliage Lift Rides will be offered on: Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 28, and 29; Saturday, Oct. 5; and Saturday, Oct. 12. All rides will be offered between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

People who have already purchased a season pass for skiing at the Snowbowl will receive complimentary fall foliage lift rides as a special perk. For non-pass holders, tickets can be purchased on-site for $15 for adults and $10 for kids (17 and under).
Refreshments will be available for purchase at the base lodge.
Dress in layers to stay comfortable in varying temperatures. Don’t forget your camera or smartphone to capture the stunning views. And have fun!
