Letter to the editor: Tax rate claim doesn’t add up

Perhaps if Mr. Heffernan and Mr. Cochran explained the arithmetic used to arrive at the tax rate changes in Addison County towns (Sept. 12, 2024, political advertisement) I would understand the increase shown for Salisbury. My 2023/2024 tax bill shows a homestead tax rate of 1.8524. My current tax bill (2024/2025) shows a homestead tax rate of 1.5108.
Doesn’t look like a 13.2 % increase to me.
