Letter to the editor: Cordes shows up for the county
I will be voting for Mari Cordes for state representative this cycle, and I am asking you all to do the same. Mari Cordes has been showing up for Addison County residents since 2018. This past session, she sponsored many bills related to making healthcare more affordable, supporting public education, preventing gun violence, lowering emissions, and building resilience against climate change. She is a nurse and sees daily how Vermonters are struggling. She’s determined to improve all of our lives. As a young voter, Mari reminds me that change is possible. She has been one of the most dedicated and effective leaders in our statehouse.
This primary may feel like a meaningless election, but it matters. The two candidates we have going forward past the primary and representing our towns for the next two years will directly impact your lives and mine. We must reelect Mari Cordes so she can continue to be a champion for Vermont.
