Letter to the editor: Cordes, Albert supported in Addison-4 race
What a thrill to vote early in the statewide primary. My picks in the House of Representatives race in my Addison-4 district (Bristol, Lincoln, Monkton, Starksboro) are newcomer Jeanne Albert and incumbent Mari Cordes. What a great combo! While Democrats have excellent choices across the ballot, these two leaders really excite me. Here’s why:
- Jeanne Albert brings a pragmatic and empathetic approach to problem solving. I have seen her in action as a college-level math teacher and in her extensive volunteer work in education. I like her wit, her interest in helping neighbors, and her commitment to climate crisis solutions.
- Mari Cordes is downright there for her constituents, having proved her mettle during the past three legislative terms. She is a registered nurse so brings a distinct understanding of healthcare challenges (crisis!) and solutions. Mari is utterly available, responsive, and responsible with Vermont resources.
You can review these candidates’ profiles in the Addison Independent’s Voter Guide published last week.
Please join me in voting early if you have not done so already and go to your voting location on Tuesday to participate in Vermont’s primary election. Go Jeanne Albert and Mari Cordes!
