Lincoln news for Aug. 1
LINCOLN — The children from the WWJD Summer Bible Camp of the United Church of Lincoln will be having a bake and lawn sale on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. next to the Lincoln General Store. All proceeds benefit the John Graham Shelter in Vergennes and an orphanage in Haiti that the church helps sponsor. Stop by and help support the kids in their efforts with this special outreach project.
Early and absentee voting for the Vermont Primary Election has begun. You can request a ballot by filling out the form on the My Voter Page at mvp.vermont.gov or by visiting, calling or emailing the town clerk’s office. Be sure to request a ballot as soon as possible so you have ample time to receive it and get it back to the town clerk’s office before the deadline.
FROM THE TOWN
Please join us in welcoming Trish Waugh, our new town administrator. Trish is a Lincoln resident who has spent the last decade overseeing human resources, payroll, grants administration, and IT systems as the business and customer care manager for Stowe Electric Department. She coordinated disaster relief efforts for public utilities across the state as the North Region mutual aid coordinator for the Northeast Public Power Association and is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management. She also served on Lincoln’s Zoning Board of Adjustment from 2018 to 2023 before its transition to the Development Review Board.
We’re grateful to have Trish leading our team through a time of swift transition in Lincoln — feel free to introduce yourself next time you’re at the town office.
Until next time … Your Success And Happiness Lies In You. Believe You Can And You’re Halfway There. You Matter.
