Vergennes fire bond shrunk, rescheduled
here will a citywide vote on a fire bond in Vergennes in December, but on Tuesday the Vergennes City Council changed its date, lowered its price tag, changed the purchase list to be supported by the bond, and decided that a vote for a new lease for the Vergennes Opera House could wait until March.
