Council OKs fire station study

The Vergennes City Council last week approved spending up to $52,748 on an in-depth study of the needs of the city’s 78-year-old Green Street fire station. The project will produce, according to meeting documents, “base plans” that could be used to create construction estimates suitable for bonding.

Lake Champlain grant applications open

The Lake Champlain Basin Program (LCBP), in partnership with NEIWPCC, is asking for pre-proposals for research projects that will improve understanding of water and ecosystem resources in the Lake Champlain Basin and guide effective management.
