TIMOTHY JOHN MCALLISTER

MIDDLEBURY — Our dear friend Tim, known as “Tight” to all his friends, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022. He was 68.

He was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on May 12, 1954. The son of William and Joyce McAllister.

The family moved to Middlebury in 1965. Tim was a graduate of Middlebury Union High School, Class of 1972. He spent his career as a carpenter.

His hobbies were fishing, bowling, watching football and spending time with his friends. He loved his fishing trips with his buddies to Canada, and Silver Lake on the last weekend of fishing season.

Surviving are his sisters Christine McAllister and Joan Chin along with nephews Todd (Tiffany), Christopher and Adam.

He was predeceased by his parents and niece Taylur.

A celebration of life will be held at his friends Mike and Amy’s home on his birthday May 12, 2023, where his ashes will be spread.

The family wishes to thank the UVM Cancer Center, his doctor Shahid Ahmed and all the amazing nurses that provided him care and compassion through all the years of his illness.
