Pet spotlight: Vermont
Age: 6 years 10 months
Gender: Female
Homeward Bound Arrival Date: 01/21/22
Vermont has been at the shelter longer than any other cat currently in residence. She was brought to us after she was found abandoned in a home. Sadly, Vermont had gotten frostbite on her ear and had an old leg injury that gives her a little hobble. She has since shown us how lovable she is and has also shown her spicy side. Vermont was in our foster program for many months and tolerated the other cats but she would be happiest as the only pet as she definitely does not like dogs. She is now our working shelter cat and greets people at the door (when she isn’t napping on the job). She loves to give kisses and will gently nibble your fingers to show her affection. Vermont is not the biggest fan of being picked up but will tolerate it for a short period of time. She has the most demanding little meow that begs for attention or food. Vermont would be best in a quiet home where she can bathe in the sun and nap the day away.
