Four Vergennes-area youths earn Eagle Scout honor
Troop 539 Scoutmaster Travis Scribner, left, is joined by Richard Cosgrove, Andrew Kachmar, Chris Therrien, Shea McLaren, ASM/District Committee Chair Shawn Therrien and Troop Committee Chair Rob Jewett at a May 27 event in which Cosgrove, Kachmar, Therrien and McLaren officially received their Eagle rank.

These young men were awarded the rank in a ceremony involving their family, friends, members of Troop 539, representatives of the Green Mountain Council, and the surrounding community.
