An April 27 ceremony at the Vermont Statehouse honored 53 Boy Scouts who reached the highest rank of Scouting through hard work, leadership and community service — Eagle Scout.
These young men were awarded the rank in a ceremony involving their family, friends, members of Troop 539, representatives of the Green Mountain Council, and the surrounding community.
Andrew Kachmar and Richard Cosgrove, both seniors of Vergennes Union High School and members of Vergennes Scout Troop 539, reached Scouts BSA’s highest rank: Eagle Scout.
The Bristol Trail Network was the beneficiary of Eagle Scout candidate William Moran, who built four benches for the trail as part of his Eagle Scout project.
