Warning: Middlebury road projects ahead

WORK WILL SOON begin on a $2 million overhaul of the water main system in and around Court Square. It’s one of several projects to be done — or are in the planning stages — this year. Independent photo/John S. McCright

The good news is that a lot of the work will be done at night and any traffic hassles should be a relative walk in the park for a populace that courageously weathered a $72 million rail tunnel project that tied up portions of downtown Middlebury for four years.
