Tiger skaters, coaches to represent Vermont

STOWE — Two Middlebury Union High School seniors and two MUHS coaches will represent Vermont at the annual Make-A-Wish All-Star Hockey Classic at Stowe Arena at the end of next week.

Two seniors from the D-II champion Tiger girls’ team will lace up for the Vermont girls, goalie Abby Hodsden and defender Audrey Schnoor.

The puck will drop for the 24th annual girls’ game vs. the New Hampshire senior all-stars at noon on Saturday, June 26.

Tiger Boys’ Head Coach Derek Bartlett and Assistant Jim DeRosia will be two of the three-member coaching staff for the Vermont boys’ senior all-star team, which will take on its Granite State counterpart at 4 p.m.

All proceeds from the event go to fulfill special wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions via Make-A-Wish Vermont and the organization’s New Hampshire chapter. The Hockey Classic has raised more than $285,000 toward those wishes.
