Water main hookup to affect Middlebury traffic

MIDDLEBURY — In order for the contractor to connect the new Middlebury town water line on Court Street into the existing water main, southbound Route 7 traffic is being detoured for a few days, town officials announced on Wednesday.

Traffic heading south on Route 7/North Pleasant Street will be detoured to Main Street at the Congregational Church, across the Cross Street Bridge and then back to Court Street.

The detours are scheduled to happen as follows, but could change as work progresses:

Thursday, June 10 – 7:30 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Friday, June 11

Sunday, June 13 – 7:30 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Monday, June 14
