Monkton news for Dec. 17

MONKTON — We would like to thank our local individual donors as well as Have-A-Heart in Bristol for supporting our Little Free Pantry.
To keep food items safe (avoiding freezing/thawing cycles) through the winter, pickups will be offered on the 2nd Saturdays of the month from 9 to 10 a.m. from December to March, with an extra distribution on the 5th Saturday of January. Please call 802-453-3020 and leave a first name and how many people in the household and any special needs so we can prepare a bag of items for you to pick up.
In April, we should be able to stock the outdoor pantry once again.
Scheduled Pick-Up Dates: Jan. 9, Jan. 30, Feb. 13, and March 13, or by appointment. Call 802-453-3020. If you need something in between, please call and leave a message and we will get back to you about a pick up time. You are also welcome to go to Have-A-Heart at St. Ambrose Church in Bristol on the 3rd Friday of each month, from 5-6 p.m.
Those needing additional support should contact HOPE of Addison County: hope-vt.org/
Donations are also welcomed. Email [email protected], message Teri Fitz-Gerald on Facebook, or send a check to Monkton Friends Church, PO Box 105, Monkton, VT 05469. Thank you.
