MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury police investigated a complaint about a strange voicemail that had been left with a local massage therapist on Oct. 31. 
Police said the caller inquired if the therapist could provide a specific service “that translated into a sexual act.” The matter remains under investigation.
In other action last week, Middlebury police:
•  Served a no-trespass order on Oct. 26 on a woman who wasn’t wanted at McDonald’s Restaurant.
•  Received a complaint about some customers failing to wear face coverings inside a North Pleasant Street business on Oct. 26.
•  Cited Robert Lavallee, 27 of Middlebury with a criminal count of driving with a suspended license, on Court Street on Oct. 26.
•  Responded to a report of a woman refusing to leave the Dunkin Donuts on Court Street on Oct. 27.
•  Cited Lonny McCray, 33, of Salisbury for driving with a suspended license, following a traffic stop on Three Mile Bridge Road on Oct. 27.
•  Were informed that someone had found hateful propaganda — a “Patriot Front” poster — affixed to a guardrail behind the Ilsley Library on Oct. 27. Police said the person who found the poster removed it.
•  Investigated a truancy complaint at Middlebury Union High School on Oct. 27.
•  Received a report on Oct. 27 that an excavator bucket had been stolen from an undisclosed Middlebury location. Police said the bucket bears the letters “WR” in red.
•  Took, to the Charter House warming shelter, a woman who wasn’t wanted at the Middlebury Short Stop on Court Street Extension on Oct. 27.
•  Investigated a report of gunshots heard near the Lodge Road entrance to the Residence at Otter Creek retirement community on Oct. 28. Police were unable to trace the source of the gunshots.
•  Cited Christopher Lambert, 37, of Middlebury with a criminal count of driving with a suspended license, on South Pleasant Street on Oct. 29.
•  Patrolled the Burnham Drive neighborhood during the early morning of Oct. 29 following a report that someone had rummaged through several parked vehicles.
•  Assisted two drivers who had been involved in an accident in a parking lot off Washington Street on Oct. 30.
•  Responded to a report of someone using a fake ID in an attempt to buy alcohol at Hannaford Supermarket on Oct. 30.
•  Investigated a truancy complaint at Mary Hogan Elementary School on Oct. 30.
•  Received a report about a person allegedly posting “large electronic advertising signs” off North Pleasant Street on Oct. 30. Police said town ordinances prohibit such signs.
•  Responded to a noise complaint in the Weybridge Street area on Oct. 30.
•  Seized marijuana and related paraphernalia from a juvenile during a traffic stop at the intersection of Cady Road and Route 7 South on Oct. 30. Police served the offender with court diversion paperwork.
•  Cited Kyle R. Jablonski, 34, of South Burlington for driving under the influence of alcohol, following a traffic stop near the intersection of Route 7 North and River Road on Oct. 31. Police said they measured Jablonski’s blood-alcohol content at 0.083%; the legal limit is 0.08.
•  Searched in vain for a man who had allegedly knocked on a Monroe Street resident’s door and then left on Nov. 1.
•  Assisted a person in the Court Street Extension area who was in danger of self-harm on Nov. 1.
•  Helped Vermont State Police resolve a dispute at the Sugar House Motel on Nov. 1.
•  Assisted Middlebury Regional Emergency Medical Services with a drunken person in the South Street area on Nov. 1. Police said MREMS took the person to Porter Hospital.
•  Responded to a report of a person who might have overdosed on medication in the South Pleasant Street area on Nov. 2. Police said MREMS took the person to Porter Hospital for evaluation.
