Pumpkin carvers needed in Ferrisburgh

FERRISBURGH — The Friends of the Union Meeting Hall will hold their first annual Ferrisburgh Pumpkin Carving Contest and Display on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 3-7 p.m. and Friday Oct. 30, from 3-4:30 p.m. Get creative with those carving skills and help them create a beautiful spectacle of jack-o’-lanterns for all to see. Pumpkins will be on display under the maple trees of the Union Meeting Hall.
Participants will be entered into categories based on age. The older categories will include most unique and best carving. 
Entry is free and open to the public. You do not have to enter in order to have your pumpkin displayed. Judging will take place at 5 p.m. on Friday.After judging, the pumpkins will be on display at the Union Meeting Hall on Friday and Saturday nights.
Entry forms will be available at drop off for the carved pumpkins at the Union Meeting Hall on.  
Organizers ask that people abide by general COVID-19 precautions at drop off: mask wearing, and staying home if experiencing a fever or cold symptoms.
