MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury police cited Dana Drown, 47, of Middlebury for felony unlawful trespass into an occupied dwelling, following an alleged July 1 incident at a Halladay Road home that at the time was occupied by a family of five people. 
Police said those in the home at the time included three children, all younger than age 6. 
Police said they used their K-9 Neila to track Drown at the home.
In other action last week, Middlebury police:
•  Responded to a verbal dispute between some Water Street neighbors on June 29.
•  Served a relief from abuse order on a local man in the Delancey Lane area on June 29.
•  Assisted Middlebury Regional EMS (MREMS) with a heavily drunken man in the Route 7 South area on June 29.
•  Helped a Court Street resident whose ex-boyfriend was refusing to leave her home and had refused to return her car keys on June 29. Police said they gave the woman information on how she could take out a restraining order against the man.
•  Cautioned a person who had been caught dumping trash illegally into the Helping Overcome Poverty’s Effects dumpster off Boardman Street on June 30.
•  Responded, with MREMS officials, to a Route 7 South location where a man had been suffering a mental health episode on June 30. Police said the ambulance crew took the man to Porter Hospital.
•  Investigated a report of a drunken man at Addison County Transit Resources’ Academy Street bus stop on June 30. Police said an MREMS crew took the man to Porter Hospital.
•  Assisted MREMS with a medical call on Route 7 South on June 30.
•  Cited Jacob A. Vicenzi, 27, of Middlebury for driving under the influence of drugs on Court Street on June 30. Police said a sample of his blood was taken for analysis by the Vermont Forensic Lab, and the results are pending.
•  Received a theft complaint on June 30 from a Halladay Road resident who alleged her landlord had been entering her apartment without notice and taking things.
•  Assisted MREMS on July 1 with a woman on Case Street who was having seizures and reportedly not breathing. Police said MREMS officials got the woman breathing and alert.
•  Investigated a domestic dispute between a mother and daughter at an Exchange Street location on July 1.
•  Provided assistance at a Court Street residence where the resident “could not be woken up” on July 2.
•  Responded to an untimely death report at a Lower Foote Street home on July 2. Police said they found 64-year-old James Wright deceased. A follow-up investigation showed Wright had died of a medical event, according to police.
•  Began investigating a possible theft from the Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op on Washington Street on July 3. Police are reviewing store video.
•  Stood by while a guest of the Middlebury Sweets Motel left the premises at the owner’s request on July 3.
•  Were informed of a theft from a vehicle parked on Court Street on July 3.
•  Investigated what police described as a vehicle theft and burglary at a South Main Street residence on July 3. Police said someone pushed in a screen door to get inside the home, and then took an iPad and vehicle keys. Police said the stolen vehicle was later recovered in Brandon.
Police also reported finding at the scene a bike and driver’s license that had been reported stolen from a Court Street home earlier that day.
Police said both cases remain under investigation.
•  Assisted Vermont State Police with a man who was having a medical crisis in New Haven on Route 7, near the intersection of Dog Team Road, on July 4.
•  Asked a Swanage Court resident to stop setting off fireworks during the evening of July 4.
•  Responded to a report of a driver leaving the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Ossie Road on July 4. Police said the driver of a tan-colored Ford sedan then sped through the stop sign at the intersection of Church Street and Ossie Road.
•  Were informed someone had written an obscene word and other objectionable writing on a Court Street home on July 5.
•  Responded to a report of an argument between a parent and an adult son or daughter in the South Munger Street area on July 5.
•  Received a report that someone had taken a 2017 Ford Escape from the Otterside Court neighborhood on July 5. The case remains under investigation.
•  Responded to a complaint about loud music in the Case Street area on July 5. Police said the culprit agreed to turn off his music for the evening.
