The Vermont Department of Human Resources this week set up a series of collection sites around the state where members of the public could get tested for COVID-19. Unfortunately, reservations are full at the only Addison County testing site — Wednesday, May, 20, at the American Legion in Middlebury.
Nevertheless, state officials said that people can go to the registration website and register to be on the waitlist and sign up to receive emails about future clinics that may be scheduled in this area.
The COVID-19 testing registration site is online here. You can also see if there are spaces at any of the other testing sites around Vermont that still have openings.
The state set up these testing site for asymptomatic people to sign up for a COVID-19 test to tell you if you currently have a COVID-19 infection. This is not a serology/antibody test, and will not tell you if you were sick with COVID-19 in the past.
The information will be used by the Vermont Department of Health and testing partners to coordinate the scheduling of future COVID-19 testing in conjunction with the Vermont National Guard and partners. Information will be also be used for public health purposes. Your information will be kept confidential and only used for diagnostic and tracking purposes. By filling out an associated form you are voluntarily sharing this information for the purpose of your sample collection.
