LB4Paint2018-133.jpg

In a sun-lit home studio at her Shoreham home, artist Lisa Balfour mixes red, blue, orange and yellow acrylic paints into two plastic cups. After a few seconds, she uses the lip of the cup to push the paint in gentle swirls around the canvas.

The increase was associated with ramping up a part-time highway department position to full-time, elevating road crew salaries to the regional average, and the inclusion in the budget of a $40,000 local match for a state grant to repair Shacksboro Road.

Residents also overwhelmingly endorsed a fiscal year 2019 town budget of $310,652.
