Panther wins national XC title

Middlebury College junior Audrey MacLean on Saturday claimed the individual NCAA Division III women’s cross-country championship.

The Middlebury Union Middle School girls’ cross-country team on Oct. 26 in St. Albans made it two straight Vermont championships. 

The MUHS girls’ cross-country team finished third in Division at Saturday’s state championship meet.

Middlebury Union High School sophomore Louisa Orten won the NVAC Small School girls’ championship race on Saturday.

Mount Abe freshman Del Guilmette and MUHSl sophomore Louisa Orten were the top local male and female cross country runners at the Thetford Trails Run.

The Middlebury Union High School girls’ cross-country team finished seventh among 15 scoring teams at this past Saturday’s U-32 Invitational, while the Tiger boys were 10th out of 17 scoring teams. 

The MUHS girls’ and boys’ cross-country teams finished 3rd and 5th, respectively, in the D-II Cross Country Championships in Thetford on Saturday. Estella Laird was the top female in all divisions.
