$316K renovation transforms Sam Fishman pool in Vergennes

Major improvements to the city of Vergennes Sam Fishman Memorial Pool wrapped up on Saturday included upgrading the filtration system, a new pool lining, improved lighting, new roofing on the pool house, and a second handicap access to the pool itself.

Bixby Free Memorial Library Director Catharine Findiesen Hays called the institution’s May 31 “Celestial Soiree” fundraiser at the Main Street library “an astronomical success” in a Monday interview with the Independent.
