LINCOLN — Louella Bryant’s new novel, “The Cowboy Code,” took 20 years to complete — in part because she didn’t want to write it in the first place. “It has taken every iota of courage within me to allow this book to be published,” the author and Lincoln selectboard member told the Independent.
