Addison taxes see big drop

In Addison, owners of both residential and non-residential real estate saw a major drop in their property tax bills when they opened them in July.

Vergennes property tax rates for the current fiscal year dropped across the board.

Ferrisburgh homeowners are seeing a small drop in property tax rates this fiscal year, but non-residential owners are seeing an increase.

Middlbury homeowners and non-residential ratepayers can expect property taxes to drop this fiscal year.

When Ferrisburgh property owners open their tax bills — which should start arriving next week, according to town officials — they will find property tax rates that have dropped by about 9 cents from the previous year.

he Middlebury selectboard on Tuesday endorsed a new, fiscal year 2023 residential property tax rate of $2.4381 per $100 in property value, a decrease of three-quarters of a penny compared to the current rate of $2.4454.
