Community Forum: Due process must protect Vermonters

I appreciate Sen. Heffernan’s willingness to explain his vote. But I believe we must ask ourselves a more fundamental question: what is due process for, if not to protect our fellow Vermonters?

Does the Senator not believe the basically undisputed Mahdawi facts presented by the media? Did he simply not see them? If a legal resident, and liked and respected member of a Vermont community is not safe, who else is not safe?
