MUHS girls’ hockey stomachs losses

The Tigers fell to North Country and Champlain Valley this past week.

The Vergennes and Middlebury girls’ basketball teams dominated in recent games.

Local wrestlers represented Vermont at tournaments in New Hampshire and Massachusetts last weekend.

The Panthers lost 6-3, to Colby after a tight stretch of games.

Though it was a quiet week for boys’ basketball, two teams capitalized on their games and added wins to their records.

The MUHS team snagged a decisive 6-0 win on Jan. 21, but fell in the last few minutes of a tied home game a few days later.

Around 55 girls got to try their hand at several different sports during the free college-sponsored clinic on Sunday.
