Lincoln School District to warn $5.4 million budget

The Lincoln School Board last week unanimously adopted FY27 budget proposal to send to voters that reflects $5,407,140 in total expenditures — a 4.4% increase over the current year.

After strenuous attention to questions of transparency extending from last week’s meeting, the Otter Valley Unified school board voted to approve an FY27 budget that would come in at $28,841,285, or a 2.92% increase from last year

Barring any major, 11th-hour subtractions or additions, ACSD voters on March 3 will be asked to approve $53 million in spending to educate Middlebury-area PreK-12 students during the 2026-2027 academic year.

The district is anticipates a slight increase in the homestead tax rate for FY27.

The Addison Central School District board on Monday received an initial draft of a fiscal year 2027 PreK-12 budget of $52.9 million that reflects a 4.9% increase in overall spending and an estimated 3.7% increase in education taxes.
