Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union recently celebrated staff members who have made outstanding contributions and have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to excellence at RNESU. 

Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union is excited to introduce 49 new employees who will be working throughout the district in all capacities.

Kristin Hubert welcomed the school year at RNESU with hope and pragmatism. Six months into her tenure, it’s these sentiments that continue to shape Hubert’s vision.

The contract is the first multi-year contract ratified in many year by the board and the association representing the workers.

The Rutland Northeast Supervision Union Board is well on its way to adopting a fiscal year 2024 budget with preliminary numbers projecting a 10.71% increase in spending, with certain line items like fuel seeing a 48% increase over the prior year.

After a two-month search process, the RNESU Superintendent Search Committee has identified three candidates and is seeking public input at a virtual public forum this Thursday, Feb. 3.

On July 1, 2022, Michael Ruppel will become OVUHS’s new principal, replacing Principal James Avery, who announced his retirement last November.

The board also has other pressing items on its plate, including a shortage of bus drivers, the continuing effect of the pandemic on the school district and a search for a new superintendent.

After 41 years as an educator, including 17 years as a superintendent, Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union Superintendent Jeanné Collins announced her resignation.
