Bristol plagued by thefts, break-ins

BRISTOL — The Bristol Police Department and the Vermont State Police are investigating a number of recent break-ins and thefts in and around Bristol Village. In the early morning hours on Wednesday, Sept. 4, someone stole money and cigarettes from the Maplefields convenience store on West Street, after forcing their way in through a window, according to Bristol Police Chief Bruce Nason.
