Starksboro skier gets a spot on the Olympic podium

Three-time Olympian Ryan-Cochran Siegle took silver in the super-G in Italy this week.

Look for alpine skier and Mount Abe alum Ryan Cochran-Siegle gunning for the podium in the Alpine Downhill and Super-G races at the Olympics over the coming weeks.

Athletes who live and train in Vermont will represent the Green Mountain State at this year’s Winter Olympics.

On Feb. 8, Vermont skier Ryan Cochran-Siegle won Olympic silver in the super-G at the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing.

“As far as I know, Ali is the only professional skier who is also enrolled as a fulltime student,” said Stever Bartlett, head coach of the Panther alpine ski team.
