Want to be an extra in a movie? Now’s your chance

The Middlebury community is invited to dress up and head to Town Hall Theater on Monday Aug. 25 to film a standing ovation scene for a feature film.

In mysterious ways, each year’s MNFF selections tend to fall into clusters, thematically. Artistic Director Jay Craven says this year’s crop of films includes characters acting on deeply principled stands — win or lose.

Documentaries, short films, student work, movies made in Vermont – there’s a lot to discover at this year’s Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival.
