Master Gardener scholarships available through UVM Extension

The Middlebury Garden Club is offering two scholarships for the UVM Extension Master Gardener course. The course will be held online from January to May 2025. The instructors are UVM faculty and staff and Vermont horticulture professionals. The course curriculum covers the fundamentals of home gardening focused on plant and soil sciences.

Local gardens receive praise

Wasn’t Addison County a beautiful place this past summer? Certainly the colorful and interesting gardens cultivated by local residents added to the appeal of this place.

Middlebury Garden Club names 2023 winners

Every year the Middlebury Garden Club gives awards to public and private gardens in Addison County. To be considered, a garden must be able to be seen from the roadside and cannot belong to a current member of the club.

Garden club to offer talk on pests and diseases

Ilsley Public Library will host the Middlebury Garden Club lecture, “This Year Get the Upper Hand: Pests and Diseases to Expect in 2023,” by Ann Hazelrigg, on Tuesday, April 11, at 1 p.m.

Vermont garden clubs to visit nurseries

The Federated Garden Clubs of Vermont (FGCV) and its member garden clubs — including the Middlebury Garden Club — will partner with five nurseries and garden centers for Vermont Garden Club Day 2022 on Saturday, May 21.
