Otter golf team, MUHS’s Malcolm advance to state tourney

In the Division II qualifying tournament on Tuesday, the Middlebury and Mount Abraham high school boys’ golf teams fell short of advancing to the D-II championship tournament.

The Middlebury Union High School volleyball team kept up its winning ways with a pair of three-set victories, while the first-year Mount Abraham program came up short in its only outing.

The Mount Abraham-Vergennes football team’s explosive offense and hard-hitting defense carried them to a 56-0 win over Windsor High School on Saturday.

The Mount Abraham-Vergennes Cooperative football team on Saturday rolled past winless Missisquoi, 68-0.

Even with injured or absent players, the Mount Abe boys’ soccer team defeated Vergennes, 3-0, on Tuesday.

The Middlebury Union High School girls’ cross country team finished first among six scoring girls’ squads at this past Saturday’s Harwood Invitational.

Middlebury girls’ field hockey picked up its initial victory of the season, while Mount Abraham split two games. 

 The three Addison County high school boys’ golf teams and the MUHS girls’ golf team all saw action last week.

The MAUHS girls’ soccer team scored four goals in the first 20 minutes of Friday’s game, ultimately beating MUHS 5-0.

In a rain-soaked game on Saturday, a blocked field goal made all the difference in the Mount Abraham-Vergennes Cooperative football team’s season-opener against Otter Valley.

Mount Abraham Union High School has released its honor roll for the second semester of the 2024-2025 academic year.

In a rematch of the dramatic 2024 Division II championship game, Mount Abraham baseball earned a measure of payback over MUHS, when the Eagles broke open a 2-2 game and came away with 11-5 victory.
