Lincoln news for Jan. 23

Once again, The Lincoln Library will be selling soups, breads, baked goods and hot cider around noon following the Hill Country Holiday Parade on Saturday, Feb. 1. Stop by to warm up, play in the snow or enjoy some hot soup and company with your neighbors.

Lincoln residents could soon weigh in on whether the town should explore development of an ordinance for ATV use on Lincoln roads.

The public is invited to learn more about “green burial”  at an informational event on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 4 p.m. at the Lincoln Library.

An afternoon craft session will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the library. Crafters will be making a lantern. All materials will be provided. A light snack and tea will be offered. All ages are welcome.

Folk duo Mike + Ruthy of The Mammals are coming to Burnham Hall in Lincoln this Saturday, Jan. 4. It’s part of the Burnham Presents music series that features nationally touring and regional artists of note on mostly first Saturdays September through May.

More than two dozen Lincoln residents gathered virtually and in person on Monday to offer input and ask questions about the fiscal year 2026 budget that Lincoln School District officials are developing.

A holiday card and wrapping paper craft session will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 18, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the library. Stamps, paints, large scrolls of paper and plenty of other decorative accessories will be available for use.

Everyone is welcome to participate in an evening of Advent wreath making, crafts and the annual tree lighting ceremony downstairs in the United Church of Lincoln on Sunday, Dec. 1. This fun, family event begins at 5 p.m. with wreath making and crafts.

Lincoln School District officials are exploring the option of using electric school buses in the learning community.
