Looking back at our ‘lost’ ski areas

FROM THE TOP of the old rope town on Hogback Mountain skiers 60 years ago could see Bristol village before swishing down the Beeline trail.

The towns of Bristol and Lincoln are right next door in the northeast quadrant of Addison County. Being so close there is a great deal of shared history and community. And in the case of skiing, there is a huge connection with two different ski areas and two separate rope tows being shared between the two towns.
