According to the Trans Legislation Tracker, state legislatures (other than Vermont) have passed 123 bills in 2025 seeking to dilute or restrict services or rights for transgender individuals.
The community is mourning the loss of Middlebury College senior Lia Smith who disappeared from campus nearly two weeks ago, and last Friday was confirmed to have died by suicide.
Authorities on Friday confirmed that body found in a field near The Knoll, was Lia Smith.
Middlebury police are actively searching for a Middlebury College senior who has not been heard from since this past Friday evening.
