Opinion: Molly Gray understands Vermont’s education issues

As a sixth-generation Vermonter and a Vietnam-era veteran, I am proud to write this letter in support of Molly Gray’s campaign for Lieutenant Governor.

“Molly Gray is the person we need in the Lt. Governor’s office.”

The citizens’ duty is to learn about the candidates, get to know them by attending candidate forums, and encourage friends and neighbors to do the same.

At the ballot box on Thursday, May 15, Panton residents will decide a three-way race for two newly created seats on the town selectboard. Town residents in March approved an expansion of their selectboard from three to five members.

Addison Central School District voters on Tuesday decided a five-person race for three of Middlebury’s seven seats on the ACSD board, choosing Jess Venable-Novak, Ron Makleff and incumbent Steve Orzech to fill those three-year spots.

Bristol voters could soon weigh in again on who they’d like to fill an open seat on the Lawrence Memorial Library Board of Trustees after a contested race for two, two-year terms on the board ended in a tie for second place on Town Meeting Day.
