I am afraid I have to disagree with both Senator Hardy and Angelo Lynn on the feasibility of their notion of expanding dollars for PreK and moving all 4-year-olds into a public school setting.
My school is strictly preschool; taking away all of the 4-year-olds to public school and changing or limiting the UPK funding for the 3-year-olds would have put our 44-year-old school out of business.
The Mount Abraham Unified School District Board is considering how the district could help address local childcare needs.
