Archery deer season to open Oct. 1

Vermont’s upcoming archery deer hunting season will run from Sunday, Oct. 1- Friday, Nov.10 and Monday, Nov. 27 to Friday, Dec. 15 

Vermont archery season starts Oct. 1

Vermont’s 2022 archery deer season begins Saturday, Oct. 1. There are two sessions of the season — Oct. 1-Nov. 11 and again from Nov. 28-Dec. 15.

Bow and muzzleloader hunters bag lots of deer

Local hunters once again in 2021 took advantage of the Department of Fish & Wildlife’s October-November archery and October muzzleloader seasons, bringing in 269 deer to be weighed at one of Addison County’s seven wildlife reporting stations.
