Neil Silins of Brandon has been awarded the Vermont Arbor Day award by the Vermont Urban and Community Forestry Program, which recognizes an individual who has made a significant difference in his or her community’s urban and community forest.
There is much information about the beginning of Arbor Day, and if interested it is easy to look up on the internet. Arbor Day is observed here in Vermont on the first Friday of May and for this year, the date is May 6.
