Joanna Colwell, left, and Margie Beckoff hold a banner with a clear message in front of a group of fellow citizens demonstrating in Court Square in front of the Middlebury Inn on Thursday afternoon. Demonstrators came from the groups Extinction Rebellion, Middlebury Showing Up for Racial Justice, Jewish Voice for Peace, and the Vermont Coalition for Palestinian Liberation.
