A week of wins for boys’ hoops

There were wins all around for local boys’ basketball teams this past week.

“Luci loved the natural world, and over her life as a poet she practiced what it meant to be attentive.”

In the last week players have scored over 25 points, surpassed milestones and played exciting games.

The Tigers scored 15 goals in two games, five of which sophomore Nova Bojanowski had her hand in.

The Tiger team has upcoming games at Harwood and at Milton before returning to Middlebury to face Burlington.

Women student-athletes at Middlebury College will host a free clinic for youth girls in kindergarten through eighth grade in honor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day.

In addition to team wins, individual successes were on tap too including two 100th career wins.

MUHS goalie Heaven Ross played a big role in keeping the Tigers in Monday night’s game.

Local boys basketball teams hustled for close wins this past week.

MUHS and VUHS continued winning streaks this week.

The young VUHS and Mt. Abe indoor track teams competed in the state indoor track championships last Saturday.

Varsity skiers took top spots during last Thursday’s meet, and two local athletes made their varsity debut.

The Tigers beat Saranac in a high-scoring game last Saturday.
