Otter Valley golf is 1 and 1 vs. Mill River
BRANDON — The Otter Valley Union High School golf team finished fourth in May 13’s Southern Conference Division III championships, held at the Neshobe Golf Club. The Otters, led by Tom Kingsley’s 96, shot a 397.
Mill River won the Division II crown with a 369, led by medalist Johann Russell (83).
Woodstock (392) came in second, with Fair Haven (396) and OV (397) right behind. Defending champion Springfield (420) took fifth.
Rounding out OV’s scorers were Colin Nicklaw (99) and Joey Scarborough and Eric Laughlin (101 each).
On May 14 at the Equinox course in Manchester, OV defeated Mill River in a regular match, 185-195. Nicklaw earned medalist honors with a 41, followed by Kingsley (43), Scarborough (50) and Will Kelly (51). Poultney was third at 234.
