CORNWALL — The kid from the Bronx and the farmer’s daughter, Eric and Roma “Mo” Mortensen of Cornwall, have been married for 50 years. Instead of a big party on May 22, we have been celebrating their 50th year of marriage all year long. We keep a scrapbook of their adventures as a reminder of the joys we experienced. We have simple dates and outings and visits to friends and family all over the country. Most mornings, we greet each other with “Happy anniversary.” It has been an interesting journey.
